What if our kids (or pets) don’t cooperate?
Completely normal! I keep sessions playful and relaxed so everyone can be themselves. Some of the best shots happen in candid, in-between moments.
What should we wear for our session?
I recommend neutral tones, pastels, or soft colors. Avoid big logos, mismatched bright colors or busy patterns so the focus stays on you. I’m happy to help coordinate outfits once your session is booked — think timeless, soft, and cohesive.
Can you recommend any locations?
Yes, see my list of local outdoor spaces below in Bergen, Passaic and Morris County. Most sessions have no travel fee. Some have a $16 travel fee from my location of Wayne, NJ.
When is the best time for photos and what if it rains?
The best light happens during golden hour — about an hour after sunrise or before sunset — for that soft, glowing look. We want to avoid harsh sunlight, which can create dark shadows. A cloudy day or golden hour is ideal. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll reschedule at no extra cost, so your photos are always taken in the best conditions.
What can we expect during the session?
Sessions are relaxed and fun — no stiff posing or pressure. I’ll guide you with prompts and gentle direction so everyone feels comfortable. We capture a mix of candid moments and posed shots, and I focus on creating images that feel natural, emotional, and timeless.

All locations are in Bergen, Passaic, or Morris County (some with a $16 travel fee). Many feature trails, gardens, and scenic paths. For maternity, family, or sessions with accessibility considerations, we would focus on the most local highlights of the area to minimize walking, especially on uneven pathways.
